License Issue on Steam After Latest Update

Hi,

Is anyone else having license issues with OOTP 19 after the latest update on Steam? It won't even accept the previously working key.

Can you explain? The Steam version does not need a license key. Did you install the eSellerate version over your Steam version by accident? Try re-installing OOTP 19 from your steam client game library.

I didn't install anything - just opened the game via Steam and it was asking for the license. I did notice that it was version 19.9.114 and Steam thought that was the latest update. Uninstalling and re-installing via Steam didn't resolve the issue.

We're looking into this. We've gotten a few reports of this, so it seems something is wrong, but not enough reports that it's a problem for everyone (or even most people).

What OS are you on?

We figured this out (it's a Linux specific issue) and we'll have a fix out for it soon, most likely tomorrow.

You know, you guys spoil us when we go to other gaming forums and expect the same level of diligence and concern. I mean that literally; I recently got into a bit of mild trouble by asking another gaming company why they didn't pay attention to their community as much as they should. To my chagrin, they did pay attention to my complaint!

Actually we've uploaded a fix for this now.

So Steam should auto-download it for you, but you can force the download if not.
