Unable to set up account

anyone have this problem and fixed it? When I try and click the register button it does nothing, then eventually I cancel. If I try and log in it tells me I don't have an account obviously.

I've tried changing settings in OOTP itself, is there any way to register out of game and then sign in within the game?

What kind of system do you have, and which version do you use (Steam, AppStore...)?
