Bug in "Breaking news"

The awards were posted 3 times plus Meyerle's 2nd one says he pitched great, but he is a 3rd baseman. Also its not a 0 year career, it would be a one year career. And Lott would be his 2 year career







Monday 7/7/1871: Lotts (BS1) wins Outstanding Pitcher Award

All the hard work finally paid off for Boston's Roy Lotts. The right-hander was named the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner in the National Association today. In 10 starts this year Roy struck out 24 batters in 88.2 innings of work. His ERA is 2.44, his record 8-1. He's 2nd in the National Association in ERA and 1st in wins! Lotts wins the award for the 2nd time in his 1-year career.

Monday 7/7/1871: Philadelphia's Meyerle named Outstanding Batter Award winner

The National Association Outstanding Batter Award goes to Levi Meyerle this year. He had an extraordinary season! Meyerle has walked 11 times this year and posts a .447 OBP. While batting .412, 61 for 148, he has driven in 54 runs. He's 3rd in the National Association in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI! Meyerle wins the award for the 2nd time in his 0-year career.

Monday 7/7/1871: Meyerle pitched great, wins Outstanding Newcomer Award

The National Association Outstanding Newcomer Award winner was announced today, with Philadelphia's third baseman Levi Meyerle earning the trophy for putting up the best numbers among rookies in his league. While compiling an on base percentage of .447, Levi hit .412 and slugged .689. He has collected 54 runs batted in this year. He's 3rd in the National Association in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI!

Robert Helvey from New York Helvey helped his team with an average of .476 and 10 RBI in 21 at bats.

Sunday 7/6/1871: Boston's Lotts named Outstanding Pitcher Award winner
The National Association Outstanding Pitcher Award winner was announced today, with Boston's right-hander Roy Lotts taking home the desired trophy. He certainly earned it, he struck fear into hitters all year long. In 10 starts this year Roy struck out 24 batters in 88.2 innings of work. His ERA is 2.44, his record 8-1. He's 2nd in the National Association in ERA and 1st in wins!

Philadelphia's Levi Meyerle was almost in tears when he heard the news. The 25 year old third baseman was named the Outstanding Newcomer Award winner in the National Association today. What a way to begin a career! He has hit 6 longballs while batting .412 this season. His 61 hits and 11 walks add up to a .447 on-base percentage. He's 3rd in the National Association in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI!
