OOTP on FiveThirtyEight

Just saw that my favorite baseball game was a source for an article on my favorite website:

The Orioles And Royals Could At Least Still Beat Triple-A Teams … Right?
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features...-a-team-right/

The article shows what happens when OOTP moves Baltimore, Kansas City and Philadelphia to AAA. Very interesting -- and I love to see the exposure for the game!

Yes, we have done several simulation-based research articles for 538, it's good exposure for the game

538 is good stuff.

even with what i assume are overrated mil teams, i bet they rocked them, nonetheless.

when a bottom-of-the-barrel, yet still an mlb everday <fill in the blank> goes down for extended work and not rusty, they destroy the minor leagues, typically... especially pitchers and sluggers. just htink of how rookies look.. .even a couple months in... heck, with 'rookie of the year' it isn't unusual to have a sub-average player win it. (they may go on to a great career or not, only speaking of rookie year resutls)
