Is there an option to not force high school players who fail to sign to go to school for 3 years?

Can anyone tell me exactly where the setting is so that when high school players who are drafted but fail to sign aren't forced to go to college for 3 years?

There probably isn't one. That is pretty much how the baseball amature draft works. I guess there are some HS players who do not sign that go play ball somewhere else and are draft eligible again, maybe? I am not sure.

Strange. I have never seen OOTP force high schoolers who don't sign to wait three years. They are routinely drafted again out of college the next year. I have always just accepted this as one of the ways that OOTP does not follow real-life rules.

They aren't. They sit in no man's land for a year and then a re-entered into the draft. Big flaw in the game, as it should be forcing them to a college so they aren't wasting a year accumulating no stats.

i believe this is working as intended. Most undrafted/unsigned high school picks actually do go to a 4 year college in real life. It's a new feature for this version and I really added to the realism.

Turn draft pick signing bonus off if you don’t want players to fail to sign. Otherwise it’s working as intended. Some players who fail to sign will come back 3 years later or 1 year later depending on what type of college they went to. (4 year vs 2 year JuCo for example)
