2 requests for sorting players during drafts...

1. In the weeks between when the pool of draft-eligible players is announced and the draft itself, I do a fair bit of research and scouting on the upcoming players, and I create a shortlist of just those players. I would like to be able, on draft day, to open up my shortlist and draft from it rather than the huge pool of players. It got to a point this year that I had to manually create an Excel spreadsheet of my guys, and manually check them off as they got taken down from the draft board. Maybe we make a custom filter option where the option is whether they're on a shortlist or not.

2. I'd like to be able to sort players by the state of their birth. In an effort to drive up fan interest, I would like to fill my minors with local guys (when everything else is equal, of course) so fans may have a greater interest in coming out and spending money. Fan interest seems to be more keen on the guys that are recognizable, and geography has an impact on those decisions.

There are other things I want to see added to the game (the ability to call individual pitches, for instance) but these two suggestions above would seem to be a simple matter of database cross-reference.

This is a great idea. I do the same thing before a draft and this would save a lot of time.

Stick to Excel with the draft shortlist because Excel can display and sort and order a lot more stuff for you than OOTP can thanks to formulas.

i like 1 for sure...

the capitalized names stand out too. unless you are looking in editor, they will be ~near top of potential. correlation, not causation still even easier to filter by a shortlist.

Couldn't you use the Draft List function for this? Or does that not show up within the draft? If not, make that visible and there's a simple fix.
