You have to root for this guy no matter what uniform he's wearing. I hope he has enough left in the tank to make 250.

mlbtraderumors (citing The Athletic) mentioned that he's about 62 innings short of Juan Marichial's 3507 and really wants to pass him. So hopefully someone gives him a change in early 2019.

Two former Cleveland pitchers.

Dennis Martinez was in town recently. He spent some time with our TV broadcast guys, talking about the good old days. He looked great! Almost like he could go out and give us an inning here and there.

I love Bartolo. A guy my height and sadly only a little heavier than me and not far from my age is still climbing an MLB mound.

I remember when Cleveland traded Bartolo he was pretty upset. It was confirmation that the team was abandoning any pretense of being a contender and was in full rebuild mode.

We've had some pretty darned good pitchers come through our town---Colon, Sabathia and Lee especially--but ownership at the time just wasn't willing to pay to keep them.

I keep having this fantasy/nightmare that Colon might explode on live TV. He also has an opportunity to be the Michelin man after baseball.
