Can you still do a split season playoff format in OOTP?

Yes I have seen it. Not sure if the league needs to have a certain setup but it is still there.

You have to enable the 'split-season' option. Note that OOTP will then automatically control the playoff qualifiers and match-ups. You won't be able to recreate any split-season playoff formats that use qualifiers other than the first-half and second-half division winners (i.e. the playoff format used by the California League up until this year, or the format still being used by the Midwest League, cannot be recreated in OOTP).

Tie-breaking is another factor, as it is unclear exactly how OOTP settles ties for first- or second-half divisions.

Lastly, there is the very long-standing problem of not being able to view the first half and second half standings; all you can view are the current overall standings. (This issue literally goes back about ten years, to when OOTP first implemented the split-season format. I and others have pointed out numerous times over the past decade that the user should be able to select between displaying first half, second half, or overall standings for a split-season using league, but it's still not been addressed.)
