Pitcher change bug

I believe I just found a bug.

Story goes as such:

It's the second day of the season in my 1967 replay, attempting to duplicate the Red Sox Impossible Dream. The Red Sox are being hosted by the Orioles.

On to the top of the 11th. Rico Petrocelli leads off with a walk. Reggie Smith followed with a single, setting up a 1st and 2nd situation. Tim Horton, batting in the 8th spot attempted to duplicate his 9th inning heroics when he singled in the tying run.
Unfortunately for me, Horton grounded into a fielders choice, setting up a 1st and 3rd. Next up was the pitchers spot. Don McMahon is not exactly a great hitter so I go to my depleted bench for a pinch hitter. Not much to work with so I see if any of my pitchers can hold a bat. Luckily, Dan Osinski has a 4 rating in hits, so I send him to the plate. Osinski hitter a grounder and the O's failed to turn two. Rico was able to cross the plate with the eventual game winning run.

Problem is the at bat and RBI were credited to McMahon. I think it has to do with the fact that Osinski is a pitcher so the game did not truly recognize him as a pinch hitter, just a new pitcher.

Has anyone else ever experienced this problem?

I figured out what happens in this bug. So McMahon was the one who came through in the clutch, which is even more unbelievable. The new pitcher is inserted as the pitcher but the old pitcher remains in the batters box. This can be averted by putting the pitcher in while the current pitcher is in the on-deck circle, but I'd really like to see a pitcher be able to pinch hit for another pitcher.
