Doing the local thing - A Seattle Mariners dynasty

I'm doing a Seattle Mariners dynasty starting in 1989, at the beginning of Ken Griffey Jr's career. Interestingly, OOTP has him at AAA Calgary to start the season. I want to see how he does in Spring Training with the big club before I determine if he's going to be on the Opening Day roster.

Oh. My. Stars.

Oakland just offered me Stan Javier for Junior. To quote Colonel Jack O'Neill, Oh, there's not a chance in hell.

Highly touted Mariners prospect Ken Griffey, Jr. made his major league debut to open the season, going up against all star pitcher Dave Stewart and the Oakland A's. Stewart held Griffey hitless and the Mariners runless to open the season.

W: Dave Stewart (1-0, 0.00)
L: Scott Bankhead (0-1, 5.79)

Another M's pitcher didn't have their good stuff today, as Mike Campbell couldn't get out of the 3rd inning today. Campbell gave up 6 runs in the 3rd and was relieved by Danny Cox with 2 outs in the inning. Junior Griffey picked up his first 3 hit game.

W: Kirk McCaskill (1-0, 5.14)
L: Mike Campbell (0-1, 20.25)
