problems with historical rookies

I'm having an issue with historical rookies not importing. I started an historical MLB in 2013 with real minor leagues, So players like Carlos Correa eventually reach the majors because they were already in the minors system when the game started. I disabled the amateur draft, but I checked the option to import historical rookies to their original teams.

But fast forward to 2016, and, apparently, I've had three years of no players coming into the system. For example, Alex Bregman was drafted in real life in 2015 but he is not anywhere in the game. The other caveat is that I checked the option to have players miss seasons, according to history, but I was hoping that would apply to guys who might have been in the majors one year, miss a year and then come back.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? And is there a way to import guys from 2014 and 2015?

Not sure if this will help or hurt (because I play random debut), but Ian Happ is in my inaugural draft in one of my games, and he was drafted in the same draft as Bregman (2015) IRL. I may have different settings than you do though, so I'm not sure why things would be different for me than you. I draw players in from the MLB Database, and (of course given that it's random debut) turn real minor leagues off.

Thanks for the reply. My plan was to turn on random debut in 2018, but I may have to do it sooner after three years with no players. The only reason I wanted to use historical minors was to get the true minor-league affiliates without the fictional minor-league franchise names.

In hindsight, that's pretty stupid, but it adds to my immersion factor. I may start over and just do it without historical minors.

Markus has said before that random debut and historical minors cannot co-exist. You'll find it more optimal if you use the MLB database with random debut. The real question is why was it not working for you in a regular, straight up historical?
