USBL Has openings for 3 Teams

Hey. The USBL has recently concluded it's first successful season of play, and now into free agency. We have not gone to far into it, so there is plenty of time for you to get a team before we get farther into free agency.

The USBL is a 20 team league that commits to a positive attitude, activity and communicaion. We do have a salary cap setup at 91 million dollars. We use real MLB players witl altered MLB franchises.

The three teams that are open are the following

Pittsburgh Pirates - This team was a sub-.500 team, but has some good talent. This team could use some rebuilding in the pitching staff, and could use some good prospects

Washington Senators - This team coems from a defunct New York Mets. This team has a very good staff. Their hitting could use some help, because they are without that one hitter that can hit .330

Atlanta Braves - This is a potential playoff contender. All they really need is a GM who will push it. They can use a middle releaver, and some defence, and they can be on their way.

As for requirements, OOTP4 is requiered. The league is looking into moving to OOTP5 after the 2003 season (this season). Experience is also a requirement. We apologize to the rookies to online leagues, but the league would be best if we can get experience, rather then to get some young blood.

Please remember that if you are going to be busy, or busy in the near future, that please do not apply, for the league is looking for people who will join for the long run, not GMs who will join, and then quit the following offseason.

Bump. Pittsburgh looks like definant lock right now, since about 3 people are appling for the team. You may also apply for the other two teams available if you wish.

Well seeing as how only 6 players hit .330 or better in the MLB last year, I can't imagine why Mets don't have someone like that

maybe you havent been paying attention the USBL much...
In the USBL 2002 season, there were 21 players that hit over .330, about 1/4 of them played with Portland and the "hitter's heaven" stadium that was, Pepsi field, Now they play in St. Paul

Bump. Atlanta has now been taken, and Pittsburgh looks like a lock right now. San Francisco and Washington remains the only teams currently without a GM, and the league will be converting to OOTP5 after the amateur draft, which is set right now on Tuesday night.
