Brand New Sim League Starting Up

Hello... there are many openings in our new OOTP 5 sim league. By "sim league" I mean you do not actually play the games head-to-head but act as a GM/Manager signing players, making trades, setting your lineups, rotations, tendencies, etc. The link to the league is http://users.tdg.ca/phl/Baseball/index.html

If you are interested in joining please contact our commissioner at toddy@rogers.com with your top 3 team preferences.

The league is largely populated by members of a similar hockey league running on the FHL simulator. ICQ is the chat software of choice.

Some of us, though, are completely new to this and have no clue at all about the mechanics of online OOTP play.

Along these lines, is there a FAQ for people who want to know the ins and outs of sim league goodness? I have a few questions, but they would probably seem pretty dumb to many of the people in this particular part of the OOTP forums.

Here are some online league basics. Even newbie questions in this forum will probably be answered sincerely, so don’ hesitate to ask.

Thanks! The article answered just about every question I had. I did not even think to look in the OOTP FAQ section, because I thought it was just FAQ about the basic mechanics of installing and playing OOTP. I was looking for an online league FAQ in this forum, the online league section.
