Very Odd request...please read
Some of you know me, some of you don't.
Regardless, here's the situation. I founded and have commished the Oil Can Boyd League (OCBL...hence the name). However, due to a number of technical problems (FTP issues, website issues and a recent message board crash), the league was put on a hiatus. Since then, I have opted to resign as the Commish. However, the league has a great group of owners, some of the best I've ever worked with. I feel ridiculously horrible about resigning as Commish because they've put their time and effort into this league (as I obviously have as the Commish) and have been great from day one. I really hate to let them down. I have sent out a league wide email to the OCBL owners with my decision as well as a request that I will also make here on the OOTP forum. If any "responsible" owner (outsider in this case) is interested in stepping up to the plate and taking over as Commish, please let me know ASAP. So as you can tell, I'm trying to see if any of you OOTP guys are interested in taking over as Commish of a fantastic league with some very good owners. I'd hate to see the league die just because of my own time schedule and technological downfalls. If interested, please email me at OilCanBoydOOTP@yahoo.com or IM me on AIM (OCBLcommish) or ICQ (163309791)...or post in response of course

Actually, I have a pretty good idea for some of your GMs to contiune to build their teams and still be in a good league. The USBL is looking at expansion after the 2004 season. What I'm thinking of doing, is merging some of your teams, and GMs (if they wish to join the league) into the USBL. This is something I have looked at for a long time. Look at the Padres for example. Between 1936 and 1968, the Padres were a Pacific Coast league team until 1969 when they moved to the MLB...
Just an idea I would like to toss around

Having a current owner come in as Commish is an option. I asked any and all owners who were interested in stepping up to the plate to let me know. Only problem is that so far...no luck. Which is why I decided to inquire from outside the league. Better an outsider than nobody, right?

I sent you an email. I may be able to help without your having to give up your position with the league.

Please have the owners contact me about the league. I may have some options for them. Thanks!

Will, I'm not looking to ship them out to other leagues or whatever. They're fully capable of doing that on their own.
