First sim results. New home run king!!!
My first sim results.
As a Yankee fan I'm happy about Aaron Judge taking over as the new home run king setting the previous record by another Yankee, Roger Maris. |

That's awesome. I think what is probably even more amazing is that he stayed that healthy.

judge home runs total is less surprising than the # of teams with 100 wins

I wouldn't be surprised at 5 100 win teams this year at all. Had 3 last year, Nationals fell just few games short, and everyone excepted cubs to hit 100 last year. Indians will probably get there again because their division is really bad. Dodgers got good shot. Nationals will get there because their division is a dumpster fire. Astros still best team in baseball but Mariners and angels improved so that might be close. Yankees can get there depending how their starting pitching is. The biggest thing that surprised me there was Carlos Santana hitting 47 homers 😂

there's never been more than 3 in a season
sure it can happen, but to get 6 at once has gotta be very exceptional |

161 RBIs from Devers, along with a .320 BA?! Five teams with 100+ wins and a sixth knocking on the door (Twins with 97 wins). Holy cow, I'd love to see how the playoffs turned out with that top heavy of a league.

Barry Bonds hit 73 home runs you can never undo that, no matter how you feel about steroids.
Not trying to attack anyone but jesus the take that "Roger Marris is still the home run king!" is so stupid. |

Repercussions are a choice.. mlb could choose to punish them and remove them from teh record books etc - they have done it before... but they don't now. they were cheaters relative to the rules no matter what the mlb does. it's more about money and avoiding embarassment by denying it was a real problem (is a real problem). rules do not constitute morals or ethics. they are a reflection of them or a lack of them in many instances. also, when the powers that be actively choose to ignore good rules, it is morally indefensible behaviour. they could care less if the players actively ruin their future health for more entertaining offensive numbers. that's a win-win from their perspective. the system itself is setup to cause this sort of behaviour through intense competition. (it's deplorable, like putting a poor person in a closed booth and blast money though the air for them to catch type of nonsense -- only in this case the players are damaging their health for a chance at larger sums of money) it's not just about the game.. it is about the ~50* years that person will live after they retire form the game. they cheat the game and themselvs by using PEDs of any sort... heck, half the stuff they do to themselves isn't even based in reality and possibly only negative effects occur. (like a corked bat doens't help, physics can prove it!! it is undeniably a myth of ignorance and nonsense.) amphetamines probably don't help while AB, but many abuse them - like mantle, maris etc even the old guys abused amphetimines. let alone smoking and being drunk in the clubhouse, lol. *once you get to ~40 and have money like they do, your life expectancy should be WAY over the average you read about. Bellinger is tearing up my league too. he has 690 HR and he is only 33 y/o. he has had 3, 70 HR seasons including 1 with 77 and 2 seasons with 68.

I’m not one for throwing asterisks at the roid guys, but can we honestly do away with this ridiculous line of thinking? Spare me the idea that amphetamies and steroids are the same thing. This is like comparing a hand grenade to a nuclear bomb. There’s context from each era that has to be considered, but let’s stop pretending that steroids and amphetamienes produced the same amount of an edge for players. It’s absurd.
