Is there a way to create cards for the league ?
I found the create the whole teams button, but I'd rather not do that for each team. Is there a way to create cards for the whole league ?
Also. I'm noticing players with the same name (I have a couple Jesus Gonzales' in my league) bump into each other, and "share" cards. Any way to stop that from happening (aside from annually checking to make sure no one in my universe has the same name) ? Last edited by Coja; 04-01-2018 at 02:20 AM. |

global settings -> Players and Facegen tab for setting related... if it's not there, it's probably not possible.
there's a ton of 'functions' below on the right side.. also check for an "Available Actions" drop down, if it exists it will be in upper right portion of screen.. some useful functions hide in there too.. (always take a peak for that button on any screen, fwiw) |

Do you mean Baseball Cards? They can only be done on an individual basis, not for whole teams or leagues. (an often requested feature)
Same for Team pics - no option for entire league. For players with the same name, one solution is to give them each a different middle initial. Last edited by Bluenoser; 04-01-2018 at 10:14 AM. |

Dang, thanks guys. I knew I could do the whole team, but gets tedious doing it for 30 teams each season. Thought of there was a team button, there would be a league button I was missing, and could just click it and go make a sandwich.
Nice tip with the middle initial. Was hoping there was a setting to do cards by player ID instead of name, so I wouldn't have to worry about some 25th man that I don't know of, sharing a name with the league MVP and over writing his card on the sneak. Guess I'll just do do a league wide sort by name and look for doubles before I create cards every season Thanks for the help guys ! Edit : Actually, instead of looking through the league in game - it would probably be quicker to do a CSV dump to excel and sort last name - secondary sort first name .. and write a formula to have excel check for the doubles. Of note, Most my doubles seemed to be Spanish names. And, had some really odd names as doubles - and not one "Smith" in my whole universe (28 teams major leagues, AAA, AA, A, and 80ish feeder teams).
In case anyone else is as insane as I am, and is building complete sets of cards for each season - here is what I did, and the formula I used in Excel to easily spot the doubles. Super easy. Export to CSV. Open the "players" file into excel (or OO). Insert blank column into beginning, Sort by Last Name, second sort by First (with lables). Then place the following formula in the new column - @ A3. And, copy/paste into all the following A columns For Open Office : (I think Excel is the same but all change the ; to , =IF(AND(H3=H2;G3=G2);"DOUBLE";"") Wallah. This will give you all the doubles. (Shows the whole league though - feeder leagues, players not on teams, all pro levels, even retired players. So, going through the first time could take a little bit. But, the rest of my years will just be newly created players doubling.) Last edited by Coja; 04-01-2018 at 04:23 PM. |

i think there's an "on demand" check box? that's what you want to turn off and it should create them at creation... if they already exist , like a real player, it may require it by hand i guess? maybe due to how the game was initially created, so the mlb playes that existed in DB when you started just didn't generate.
but, if it's not 'on demand' for pictures, it should be created when the player is created... double check those settings. maybe this is only for facegen? i am unfamiliar because i always turn this stuff off. |
