The on-line manual says, "If this box is checked, the game will create fictional free agents during each offseason, so that teams do not run out of players."

Either "Disable" should be "Enable", or the description is missing a crucial "not". Does anyone know which it is?

Yep. You must check it if you want to stop those slippery suckers from invading your historical games. You're right, the description is wrong.

is this in reference to the settings that become visible when you turn off the draft?

the draft is the default, so i guess they figure you are clicking anyway? can simply restore a back as "test" and sim out.

if it's not checked initially, do check it. there is no type-o.
