League Rep & PCMs
Is there any type of relationship between league reputation and player creation modifiers?
For examples....free agent signing talent, draft talent, International tournaments such as the World Baseball Classic? I think free agency is likely only linked to reputation...but I am unsure about draft talent. For instance the Cuban and Australian leagues have PCMs of 1.000 (MLB level) but also have lower reputations. Anyway, it is something I am curious about, and if there is anyone in the know, an answer is greatly appreciated. Thanks |

I don't think the two have any relationship. League reputation influences how players and personnel will react to job offers. Player creation is, I think, mainly influenced by a player's nationality.

I'm with Joe, though I'm no expert. What I did for a new league was to try to link league prestige (left) and PCM's (right) thusly but this is no definitive set of guidelines; just something I am trying out:
MLB - 10 / 1.000 Carib - 9 / .950 Japan - 9 / .950 Cuba - 8 / .900 Mexico - 8 / .900 Korea - 7 / .850 Taiwan - 7 / .850 But this linkage is my own idea based on reading the online manual on both topics and finding no mention that the game does this type of thing automatically.

Those are interesting and do seem to make sense...do you have a Caribbean league(s) other than Cuba? |

One thing to keep in mind, is that .850 is mid AAA in OOTP...so I might bump everything down by 50 on this list. |

Might put Japan as .920....but otherwise good except you will not see many Cuban players in your world outside of the Cuban National Seroes

With Japan, would you suggest setting every PCM at .920? Or just lowering the defaults by .030? |

I think every PCM is good at .920...the way the default modifiers are done for Japan...you won't see power hitters...and this is a trend I feel is not the case in Japan so much any longer. Japan has always had power hitters, but those hitters aren't utilized due to the small ball style of play there. This is changing...and in truth Japan is a AAAA talent league all around.
