Scroll Bars for Paging - Question
Hi,
I have the Game settings to use scroll bars. However, they are not showing on the screen on longer lists like the FA screen. Instead the paging button appears despite the checkbox in setting saying not to use it. The mouse wheel does allows scrolling, but only by one page per click, thus you really need to be careful to only scroll once with it or you will find yourself elsewhere multiple pages away. Is this a new feature or a bug? I would like the scroll bar to appear as it provides much more control to position the list exactly where I want it. As it is not, I can move a player at the bottom of page one and scroll the line to the top or middle of the screen. If I scroll, the player moves off the screen. Clarification would be helpful on how this is expected to work. The current way it's working seems broken from OOTP18 and is clunky to use right now. Thanks. Malor |

OK.
I guess that means the Game Settings option is not really that valuable since I really use the scrolling with bar/mouse on the larger screens to speed them up. Paging slows down the response a bit since each page has to load whereas with scrolling, everything loads at once and is available. Since I'm at the start of a new year, I'm spending a lot of time searching the FA list and it is painful to do so being able to only look at 17 players at a time and I can compare the player on one page with the players on the one before/after because scrolling is not available. Anyone know of a way to export the FA screen to a browser with the full list exported? Write to Report only exports the page you are viewing, which is useless since I'm already viewing it. It would be nice if the three boxes at the bottom could be minimize/maximized via a button click to provide more room for the list. The info at the bottom is useful, but once it has been read, it becomes less so until it changes again. Thanks to all that responded or read. Malor |

I actually posted about this in the bugs forum Heret=287100.
It is impossible to get the scroll feature to work in OOTP 19, and it is impossible to export a full list to HTML. You can currently only see whatever page is displayed, which makes using excel for drafting and roster management a pain. |

Just to throw my hat in the ring, I also would like to scroll instead of page select, even for lists of longer then 1000 players.

With the new update, it should allow you to have up to like 8000 players with a scroll bar

I must have missed the previous threads on this. No surprise as they have been moving fast over the past week since release.
I'm actually glad that we're posting here about little details like this instead of complaining the game is broke. Markus and the OOTP team do a great job and delivered an excellent product. Thanks to all that read/responded. Malor |

I don't remember which thread, but Markus mentioned it.
Actually, I may have started the thread. Let me look in my history... |
