Classic 3D Mode Not Working

This is on Linux.
When trying to access Classic 3D mode, game goes into an odd, smaller graphic / resolution, have to force close game. Unplayable. Even the mouse doesn't work, due to the graphic misalignment. All other modes play fine. Well this is a bummer not being to see what Classic 3D mode looks like.
Added info:
OK, what I see happening is cursor misalignment, but only when trying to access Classic 3D view. This, along with the screen being squished.
Something amiss here. Does not appear to be a graphics card / driver issue. Happens in both windowed, and full screen modes.

I have it too... Linux, my cursor is also misaligned..
