Game Freezes When Left Open

I have tried a couple new leagues and the game is freezing when I leave the game window open too long. I am not sure how to define too long, but if I leave the game open and walk away for a few hours the game is freezing where I cannot click on anything except to minimize the window. I always left OOTP 18 open on my computer with no issues, but for some reason OOTP 19 is does not respond to any clicking. Any tips on what I might try to alleviate this issue?

BTW thanks for making such a great game all these years.

I was able to get my saved game working by closing (crashing?) OOTP and reopening to the latest save. That worked for about five minutes. I turned my back for a couple of minutes and the game became unresponsive again. Checked my video drivers and they are up to date. I am just using the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 on a Toshiba laptop.

Found another user experiencing the same issue in another screen. My game was becoming unresponsive from the Manager's Office screen.

A few questions...

Are you running any other programs at the same time as OOTP?

Is OOTP whitelisted in your anti-virus and firewall?

What are your system specs?

I am running Microsoft Excel and sometimes Windows Explorer. OOTP is whitelisted in firewall and virus protection. Specs are:

Intel Core i5 2.60 GHz, 6.00 GB RAM, Windows 10.

I also have isolated the issue to when I minimize OOTP. So my initial assessment of it happening over time was incorrect. Minimization of the window appears to be the catalyst.

Does it make a difference if you put the game in fullscreen or in windowed mode?

No, it does not seem to make a difference. If I minimize the window in either the game freezes up. I can switch between full screen and not full screen with no issues. But if I minimize the window in either the game freezes. If I try to switch from one to the other after the game freezes, the screen goes blank.
