Michael Corleone Week.

I'm officially going to start referring to the week the new version of OOTP comes out as Michael Corleone Week. Every year I say I'm going to wait. Some years like this one, I even said I might not buy. Then the pre order release day comes. I start reading this forum and all that goes straight out the window. So, I'm stopping on my way home tonight to get a Steam gift card and will start my download Thursday. I figure it should be done downloading Saturday or Sunday....... Might as well be in junior high again.

OMG, you are my opposite. Every year I want to spend my money on this game, I even asked Markus to sale me a lifetime membership.

We are blessed to have this gem of a game and a new version every year. My gaming life can't get any better then that.

Every year we witness a miracle when this game gets even better. Who doesn't want to be part of that?

I'm with you BusterKing! Baseball is the only sport I love and follow and OOTP is the game I have always wanted. And if OOTP WOULD have a membership mechanism, I'd be all over it. I had suggested in another thread that OOTP should consider broadcasters ala Baseball for Windows Broadcast Blast. That gem had Ernie Harwell calling the games. You could play any season from 1871 to 1997. Harwell actually was recorded saying the name of every player in that span of years, Those names were spliced with recordings of Ernie's calls and the immersion factor was off the charts. IF OOTP would do something similar down the road, then all the other sim makers might as well fold up their tents.

Play Ball!!!

What? You don't have OOTP 19 already? And you torment yourself every year with the decision to dive right in on a proven winner? That sounds more like something Fredo Corleone would do rather than Michael.

IMO, OOTP has made us an offer that can't be refused

Oh man, one thing I do have is Fredo like hair.....Just get a buzzcut these days...I'm married and she don't care. Got tired of going in and getting asked how I want it cut and them looking at me funny when I said, give me the Fredo.........But Fredo could never remember his boots and at one point when asked what country he most wanted to escape to, said Wyoming.....

Hahaha! Yeah, that classic line was from Dog Day Afternoon. Same actor, of course (John Cazale...for the Fredo-impaired here ). His character's name in that one was named "Sal", but basically Cazale played it as Fredo Corleone recast as a bank robber. He had tragically short but brilliant career. He only has a few entries in his filmography, but all are 4-star movies and considered classics today.

Yep. Having the Fredo hairline is definitely not the look any man would choose for himself. Even worse is having the Fredo forehead. For such a dumb guy he sure had a massive cranial dome.
