Quick question: how to import Ohtani into historical leagues with proper ratings?

I tried importing him using his minor league ID (otani-000sho), and it finds him, but his ratings are terrible. Have tried 2016, 2017, and 2018 as the 'import year,' all the same. Any idea what's going wrong?

Look at that. 111 years old and he can still hit the occasional double. He'd probably get thrown out at second quite a bit come to think of it.

Ah, ya, that's another weird part of it - I guess the game has to pick a new birthday if you try to bring someone into a league before they were born? I feel like I've had no trouble importing modern players into 1920's teams before though... Still seems like something is wacky when importing Ohtani into historical games.

Anyone done so successfully?

i believe mine is imported from the Spritze 18 DB. i edited his stats with rookie year for current and 2017 for potential.
