Random Coding Question
For someone that knows a bit about the coding...
I've noticed in the history editor that a player or team is often referenced with this long string that looks like <a href="../teams/team_23.html">Boston Red Sox</a> but sometimes it simply looks like this: <Boston Red Sox:team#23> Is there any difference to the way this is coded if both still become hyperlinks (if that's the correct term) that will both bring you to the right place? |

The <a href> are for external hyperlinks, so that an html browser can navigate them correctly.
The other version are internal links that our system can use to browse within the game. Basically, it will be one or the other depending if you're viewing things in a browser or in-game. |

Okay thanks, makes sense! Although I feel like in a player's history, it always uses the <a href> one even though it only leads you to an internal screen.
Either way, doesn't matter to me. Whenever I'm creating links in my game, I use the shorter one and I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something I should have. |

We do have some internal stuff where we'll convert between them if we notice the wrong ones. The 2nd type you mentioned is mostly used for the in-game mail messages, so basically anything outside of that I believe can use the other version.
