Random crashing when using interface

No specific date or action that causes it, just random things like clicking a player or one of the dropdown menus to select teams, etc. I have a trace file for it.

Has it still been happening since the update to 4.6.75? The update had a fix for what appears to have been the cause of most of those problems (this is actually the first interface crash report we've seen since then.) If so, we'll have a look at the file, but that type of thing is usually difficult to detect in a particular save unless there's something seriously wrong with the file like data corruption.

Yeah, I only just got the game around 4 or 5 days ago, but these crashes happen almost every time I play. It's just irritating because I'm loving this game but it sucks having to be worried it's going to crash on me whenever I click something lol

What are your computer specs, especially how much RAM (memory) do you have?

Is it also crashing when you just simulate or only when navigating the screens?

GTX 970
8GB RAM

I don't think it's happened during sim, only when clicking things.

Is there something that always crashes the game for you? A screen or menu perhaps that I could try in your save?

If it does not crash during simulating, it sounds like the data is Ok, so I have no idea why the GUI would always crash.

Btw, Windows or Mac?

Windows, 64 bit
There's nothing specific that makes it happen, it's random as far as I know. One time I can remember was I was in the roster for my farm team and i clicked the team selection dropdown to go back to my NHL team and when i clicked my team it crashed, it's also happened when I clicked on a player to view their info screen.

Just happened again, this time I was on the Hartford Wolf Pack roster, and I right when I clicked on the Rangers in the team menu to switch back to them, it crashed.

I guess when you restart the save it will not crash again when you do the same move?

Also, did you do anything specific on the Hartford roster before you tried to go back to the Rangers roster?

Tried it again, didn't crash, and I didn't do anything on the roster but look at it when it did crash.
I appreciate you guys trying to help out by the way, I know this is probably annoying to deal with lol

This time, I was in the trading screen near the trade deadline, and I went in the menu and clicked on the Anaheim Ducks, and as soon as I did, the game crashed.

It's times like these when it really gets to me, because I was doing a bit of a firesale and I was doing one more trade after about 6 or 7 and then I lose it all because it crashed before I saved, and I need to try and remember the trades I did when i reload the latest autosave.
Not in a mean way, but at this point a refund is out of question because of steam's 2-hour playtime limit for refunds. And I absolutely do not want to refund the game because I love it so much, but the only hope for fixing it at this point is you guys.

EDIT:
-Just tried playing from my last save, and I traded with a couple of teams and then clicked on the Ducks again, and again it crashed. (tried same thing again, didn't crash)
-Crashed again, switching from Hartford Roster to Rangers roster again while I was moving players around.

Of course we try to help, we want you to enjoy the game without worrying about GUI crashes. What it makes hard is a) we don´t get many GUI crashes reported and b) you can´t reproduce them, so we can´t check them out. It sounds like you do something, that everyone else is not doing, we "just" have to find out what that might be.

Did you edit anything in commish mode? Could you also upload your latest save (that has this problems), I would try again to reproduce it here somehow?

I'm trying to think of what I might be doing differently than everyone else, the only things I can think of are that I turned off the 3D/FaceGen stuff, and I run the game in fullscreen but I wouldn't imagine either of those things being the problem.
Haven't edited anything in commish mode.

I don´t get it to crash. I will look at the code for the team menu to see anything that might cause it but I fear the only way to find the source is that you install a special beta version with debug code, so we can locate the root of the problem. You are on Steam?

Yeah, I'm on steam.
Just for the record, just had 2 more team menu crashes near the trade deadline.
It seems to happen more when I'm around the trade deadline or free agency.

We did not forget you.

In the next few days we will ask you to install a special Steam beta version with some debug text. You will install it, start a game and once you get a crash, send us the trace file (and we hopefully can see what might be the cause).
