Awesome Ending

Just completed a re-boot of the 2017 season in control of the Yankees. Prior to the season I cleared out all the coaches and personnel in a plan to have all my new coaches and personnel gain experience along with myself.

In our first year we clinched the final wild card spot with a record of 88-74. We defeated the Rays in the wild card to advance to the divisional round against Cleveland. Against the Indians we were down 2-0 only to rally and win the series. Then we defeated Baltimore 4-2 which would set up a World Series against Washington. The series went 7 games. In the 7th game we would tie the score at 3 late forcing extra innings. Game 7 would go 20 innings before Bret Gardner would hit a three run homer in the top of the 20th to secure our 6-3 victory and the series title.

I have kept my minor league system in together, in fact the only moves made through trade was the dealing of Carter early in the year for a few no name prospects and the acquisition of Kahnle from Chicago, nothing more than a low leverage reliever and a reliever from San Diego named Bauman.

The plan is to continue to keep the minor league system together and build from within.

Look forward to working this team, this is what makes OOTP so addictive.

You lost me at Yankees.

Seriously, the elation and frustration of winning and losing in this game is what keeps me coming back.

Of course, being a fan of the Astros, I do not need to fear the fans of either of those teams, at least until October.
