I am new to the world of OOTPBB.
Noticed after my 2nd season... numbers are grossly inflated. Joey Gallo hit 74 HRs and 157 RBIs haha... how do I make it so these numbers reflect real life totals. Thank you, Marz929. |

There's an option to adjust league totals for historical accuracy. Do you have it enabled?
Note that this option may not prevent individual performances as you describe. It just keeps the overall league numbers close to historical. |

that will update the totals for years prior to 2017? 2018? whichever teh cutoff is. (the historical year value not necessarily league year - input box on left Stats and AI screen.. anything 2018+ won't change the totals when you click unless you have customized it from default)
auto-callulate modifers button is what you want. as real players transition to fictional, you'll want to click that on occasion. every year is not necessary and not recommended unless you want your league +/- .002 BA of League Totals baseline (hits/ab totals) every year. every 2-3years for the first ~25-30yrs (real players are in amatuer draft for ~2-3 years or more) after that, you can intuitively make adjustments based on what you see. if you see somethign drop too low, up it a bit... too high reduce it a bit... the less you alter at once the better you can predict what will happen.
