Scouting: Rights Available Confusion

Hello,

I'm trying to set up my scouting.. and after watching a video and reading here, deciding whether to tick "Rights Available" when assigning my draft scouts caused me some confusion.

In this video (48:04), Adam has "Rights Available" and "Use Draft Eligibility" checked: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tjutfPlKsE

However, on this forum, Jeff explains: "That's Rights Available, which may explain the problem - rights available means the player is signable in your league right now. Combined with turning draft eligible on, they're going to mutually exclude each other and no player will qualify for the search criteria."

So I'm not sure if Rights Available needs to be checked or not when scouting draft prospects. Thanks

The draft-eligible players will have their rights for the league set to "None." Players who are signable because no team own their rights will be "Free." It's not possible to be both, so no player can meet scouting criteria that requires both. Adam did it wrong there.
