Leagues could sim every other day.

Many leagues sim three times per week, every other day, with a three day break after every three sims. A league could sim every other day (of course simming on different days in consecutive weeks), I don’t think I’ve seen that done before. Just an idea.

leagues that sim every day is huge stress on a commissioner, ever other day even.

We sim every day except Sunday. Three games per sim. The pace is a little slower than the 7 game sims three times per week (18 games vs 21), but it gives you something every day to read. If you can't get your roster in but every other day, you are still controlling as much as you would in an every other day sim (if that made sense).

The stress would be there if you tried to maintain a huge bells n whistles site, but some of the league members have stepped up to help out. It really isn't that bad.

I've never understood the advantage to doing it every other day.

Another reason leagues might sim three times a week, but not every other day is consistancy. With three times a week, you can set the days and everyone, including yourself, always knows when the sim is. If there is a Monday sim the first and third weeks of the month and Tuesday sim the second and fourth, you end up with more missed lineups by guys who end up off schedule and more complaints.

Additionally, a lot of commissioners have days where simming isn't really an option for them. Of course, it is possible that someday a commissioner would go that route, but it would have to be someone with a very flexible schedule.
