Taken up to much Disc space
So I have a league that started With 2016 and is now at 2050.
The problem I have is it takes up 280 Gigs of space. How the heck? Why the heck? What can I do to reduce this but have my history ? |

Do you generate almanacs? That's the most common reason for extreme file bloat.

old face gen files too..
but, transactions, news, injuries etc.. the text stuff wouldn't take up much if you want to be selective. 50 years of that stuff wouldn't be much -- < 1% of 280gb, anyway. same with old scouting reports. as a comparison: i keep all scouting records, but only 3 years of the 3 named above (or is it 2 years? limited by settings). years 2017-2062, 30teams , 7mil leagues, no pictures, limited generated stuff beyond box scores - 1.16gb. (i make sure the game generated stuff kept can 'recreate' anythign i might like to look at. and some stuff is for my team/org. only) check out the directies in the .lg folder. what's taking up most space etc? prioritize and delete the stuff you least want. i've never made an almanac.. is there a way to incrementally update one wihtout making many? or is 1 that big? Almanacs are in yearly folders.

No, any information you can get to in the game you will be able to reach. The almanac is accessed outside the game. You can also zip your almanacs to shrink them down to size.

I would look through your options. I wonder if you have something like All. replays, all box scores, all reports and a bunch of images. saved also. That is a huge league file.
As mentioned above. I would go through the saved games folder and see where the largest files/folders are.

I'd like to find out what I would be losing by switching these to delete. I don't care about losing Box scores and replays and game logs. I don't need any of them, but what else would I lose?
