1-0! I'll take being in 1st place...
![]() I'm a little surprised that Castilla was the closer for last nights game. I know we have a lot of people with experience in that area (just none great), but I thought Madson would be the man.

Boom Boom for Krush! Nice start. Wonder if he can outperform even last season.

Well, at least the A's management is doing things right this year. The tarps are coming off... We got ourselves some cheap seats!

Both Graveman and Semien to the D.L. I may go full groundhog and not check box scores for 6 weeks.

It's good to see that the A's are playing with a lot of heart. That's all you can expect from guys with limited talent.
And what's the deal with Alonso? Has he been eating his Wheaties all offseason?

Yeah, supposedly Alonso's launch angle is way up this year. Hope it keeps up. He was supposed to be a top prospect long ago.

Do you all want Frankie Rodriguez? I can send you a 2008 highlight reel if you need some convincing. He was really something.

Sure! Will you take Adam Rosales' dentist and Sean Doolittle's left shoulder?

At some point, we'll need to catch the ball and then throw it to another player. It seems like we can't do that at all.

So I have Sonny Gray and Krush on my fantasy team, so I check in with them from time to time. Saw the A's were down 3-1 after Gray went 7 innings, then checked again and saw Krush had tied it up in the bottom of the 7th.
Then I woke up and saw the game ended 11-10 ![]() Well, that was almost a comeback for the ages. Apparently a grand slam is the ultimate form of rally killer. |
