Well, the World Wars were pretty significant conflicts that saw millions dying valiantly on the field of glory, and why not keep the brave ones in our memories? I would love to see a new feature: the honorable dead.
Basically, when a player dies or is wounded and won't play baseball again in either of those conflicts, he is mentioned as such in a message and "retired" as far as the game is concerned. This way those brave veterans will be given respect the way they deserve. |

This could probably be done with storylines as it is.

Yeah, I wonder how difficult and time-consuming it would be to do that. The storylines could be the way to go, and I'm sure that finding precisely which players have died and when is not very difficult either.
