Incorrect players and starter files

I run 2 leagues one for the past 30 seasons and the other for 12 seasons. Every once in a while when my guys in the league download the new league file they get Unknowns or incorrect players showing up on their teams. So I put out a new starter file and everything gets fixed.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I might prevent it from happening ?

did you do a dB purge or something?

that would shift playerid's from any issued file that was not converted like all the history etc typically occurs.

just deleting players, like those that don't make the majors, will not cause this.

1) Is it the same GMs?
2) Tell them to use wired downloads not wireless.
3) I do not think there is a way to do as many DLs as an OOTP league does without download problems.
If the file corruption is league wide the there is a problem on your end. If it is a few GMs then it is not a file problem.

What if I'm using a wireless connection to upload to the server ?

If any GM can download the correct file then it is not a problem in the league file or with the file on the server. The least consistent part of file transfers is the transfer. Wireless makes it less stable. Is it ever the whole league or is there always 1 or more GMs that get a correct league file?
