TV Deals and More Detailed Financial Data
I know the game is completely full of information and options, which is part what I most enjoy about the game is the level immersion, and the option to make it simple.
One thing that I really enjoy in baseball is the level of economics in the sport. I would love for there to be a little more detail in the financial expectations of the model, more so that renders real life. A specific example that I would love to see: TV deals. These are major, major parts of the game today (and radio deals for past years). It would be amazing if as the GM, you could help negotiate your tv deal and have it back loaded like in real life. That would allow you to expand your financial options. Right now, you can go in there and edit the TV deals, but they are for a fixed amount, and you can't really make it a progressive part of the game. Also, naming rights to the stadium has a financial value. Maybe you don't want to offer that for sale. Maybe you have a new owner who says he will invest X amount this year, or maybe an owner who sees it as a paycheck and takes money from the franchise. I would just enjoy more randomness and more financial immersion. And I don't think it would take a lot to employ into the game, though, I don't know much about that. It would be nice if you could simply click that off as well. But I would love, say, as the Cardinals GM, if I was approached with the possibility of their billion dollar tv deal over 20 years, and I could negotiate that or accept that. And then it would be implemented into my financial data. (and for teams, their market size should relate how the deals progress compared to other teams - or at least be an option). Here is a link to the current tv deals as we know them in Major League baseball. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/esti...-30-mlb-teams/ Thanks! |

some good info there .... might not be a bad idea to have this at least looked at by the develops for 19 and see if it's worth their time. But i like it.
