Fielding Awards Question???

I was just wondering if anybody out there has any idea how OOTP5 determines who wins the annual fielding awards.

I had a firstbaseman win the award despite having one of the lowest fielding percentages of the year among first baseman in his league.

Any info would be helpful,

The game uses range factor to award the "Gold Glove" for each position, not fielding percentage.
