My Twist On The Disappearing Player Bug

Thankfully, this hasn't struck me as hard as some of you, but I have encountered some minor annoyances which will become more serious if they continue.

-I started an historical import league in 1871 and have just finished the 1874 season and ready to proceed to 1875. After the amateur draft in 1875 there are around 10 imported rookies missing as described by others. You can view them by clicking "View All Players" in the Advanced Setup screen but that is it.

-During the 1874 season, I noticed some blank lines in some boxscores. Didn't seem to be a big deal, but might be related somehow.

-However, my most consistent problem is occuring when players retire. My league hasn't been going long enough to generate any "Hall of Famers" yet, but the few players that have retired are not viewable in the Hall of Fame screen where you should be able to view all the retired players. The screen is empty.


I also have a backup of my league from the end of 1874 and have restored it three times and have gotten the same result each time.

I'm running the game on a Pentium 4 on Windows XP. 1 GB RAM with plenty of hard drive space available. Would be happy to provide a copy of any league files that might help pinpoint the problem.

I think OOTP only saves players for view in the HOF screen who are marginal candidates or better. Since you began in 1871 and have only been accumulating career statistics for a few seasons, no one who has retired to date fits that billing.
