Fictional League Simulation

Hi all, is there a "fast" way to sim 30 years in a fictional league ?

I want start a all fictional player league, in 1987, erase all history, sim 30 years till present day, then play my league going forward from there.

I'm no positive I'm going about it the correct way, but I'd like to have a completely fresh history and story backgrounds for my custom fictional players/league.

1.Turn off leaderboards in the sim.
2. Engage the maximum number of helper threads from the settings.
3. Smaller universes sim faster.
That's really just about it.

OOTP can use multi-threading if you have a multi-core processor.

match cores to threads even if it suggests more.... if you have hyperthreading (intel's vocab) enabled it will recommend 2x what you should choose.

that may not be the case now, but check it... 4cores... try 8 and if it does move at a snail's pace even slower than before, stick to what i just said. 4cores:4threads

turn off any asthetic stuff -- like turning facegen off... turnign anythign to "on demand" or similar behaviour will eliminate that processing during a sim also.

save less stufff... if you don't need boxscores, turn them off etc...

just meander throught he settings pages and eliminate anythign that's not important... even all-star games and minor league playoffs etc etc... awards! MiL stuff aglore to turn off that's 100% inconsequential to the bulk of the game.

speaking of mil... turn stats tracking for MiL to 'Very low" in Stats and AI settings.

don't turn off anything important to the sim or do anythign differently as far as the rules relating to anything hands-on to baseball, of course.

'force game engine' to hit League Totals option also is an extremely heavy burden, if on.
