Post Does anyone...

Does anyone ever use replay mode? I never have and to be honest I've only played around with historicals in general. However, with the enhancements made to historicals this year I thought I'd give it a more serious look. However, before embarking on a league that replays baseball history what about replaying some of baseball's best seasons? In replay mode players do not develop so things should be close to reality with just enough uncertainty to make it interesting. Or how about a replay of baseball history but instead of through career mode, doing each season through replay mode? Granted, the rosters would not maintain consistency and if Ted Williams suffered a carrer ending injury in 1955, when you loaded up the replay season for '56 he would be fine. I just think it would be an interesting way to play some seasons and maybe do a historical replay and then compare the results with real life. Just the ramblings of an OOTP addict

When using replay mode the game is directed more by the playing time and stats of a player than by his ratings. Some have felt that it works well to play this way when using historical teams(run replay during the season) and once the season ends switch the mode to career to "proceed to next season".

Interesting point Steve. Maybe I'll try that.

Sounds like replay mode is a lot like strat, and it sounds like a nice thing if you are looking for it to be realistic.
