Amateur Draft Projections
i'd really like it if every guy in the draft had a projected round he'd go in. Seems to make sense. Say my scout has some dude at 79 potential. In real life...first off probably most scouts would think he's at least a good to great prospect. But if my scout thought he was a diamond in the rough type, he'd know that, he'd know we rate him much higher than other teams. In this game, I don't know that, so I draft a guy in the 1st round that I coulda got in the 10th round.
But if the game showed a draft projection something along the lines of being based on the potentials of all 30 scouts, I'd know that it may be ok to risk letting a few rounds go by before I draft him, and making sure I draft the other 79 potential guy projected to go in the 1st round, since he certainly won't be there later. |

Osa
You're talking like an OSA rating - kind of like ESPN and NFL.com do for the NFL draft - having a projected round beside the player's name in their scouting report. It is by no means conclusive, but it's an estimate based on what they are hearing and their measurables up against all the other players. That seems legit.
Also, though, make sure you are spending enough on scouting and that your scout is as best you can get them. That can have a lot of affect, too. |
