Calling up a pup
After over 100 plus seasons throughout the years with ootp, I have finally called up my first teenager. A 19yr old out of the Dominican. Usually, I'm very patient n conservative when it comes to bringing prospects up. However, this kid has shot through the ranks n has produced at each stop... anyone else ever bring up a teenager or really young player? How did it work out?

good question. In my league I'm bringing up 22 year olds and they are doing fine. My record is 21 and he didn't skip a beat. I'm comfortable with that because it doesn't seem to be over the top. What suffers is my minor league ranking which my owner doesn't like.

I brought up Mickey Moniak when he was 19. And I really don't know about is performance, he was an okay starter for around 8 years mainly due to his defensive ratings that kept his WAR in the 3 range for those 8 years. I mean that hasty of a promotion basically destroyed all of his development time so he became a real average to below average hitter.
He was basically a two time all star with ~35 WAR in like a 16 year career as a fringe starter. So I guess it went well.
