Batting Title Not Handled Correctly

Compare Chris Zabala and Tom Stepp. OOTP awards the league batting title to Stepp, but Zabala misses the qualification by only four plate appearances. When those four PAs are added to Zabala's record his batting average recalculates to .385, and he wins the batting title.

This is a well-known rule in Major League Baseball, 10.22(a).

Unfortunately it's also a well known shortcoming of OOTP. I would think it's probably difficult to program, but I'm no programmer so I'll defer to the experts.

Yep, OOTP has never gotten this correct. It's a known and persistently annoying error.

I've never heard of this or run into it before myself. I couldn't find any record of this having ever been logged in our bug tracking system in spite of apparently being a well know legacy issue

So anyway, I logged it now and we'll see what happens!
