Fictional League ?
Is it just me, or does anyone else notice. When I had OOTP4, I started with a fictional league with fictional players. Ran a draft and stats were great. Played 5 seasons with this league. Of all the players and pitchers, there seemed to be about 20% abover average, 60% average, 20% below average range of talent.
I now have OOTP5 (patched). Started a fictional league with fictional players. Ran a draft. Granted I have just started my league but being 25 games in I have never noticed anything like this before. Appears 40% above average, 20% average, 40% below average. All the way through April, I have 15 SP with 4 or more games started with ERA's at or below 1.25. I have 7 players with 60 or more AB's hitting below .100 and 27 more in the range of .100 to .180. Is it just me, or has anyone else seen this trend. Also K's seem to be in abundance. |

The "sample" that you are using is a very, very small one. The game using ficitional players was tested over many, many seasons(most sims I ran were 50-100 yrs) and while not perfect the numbers played out quite realistically.
