Barry Larkin.. My boy!
Not to mention the Reds won in the bottom of the 9th with a Boone homer. Then tonight... 4-4 going into the 9th. The Cardinals score one in the top. 5-4 going into the bottom. Larue goes down with a fly out. Juan Castro comes up.. singles to right. Then, for the first time off the DL, Barry Larkin comes in to pitch hit. Now Barry isn't an All-Star anymore, we know that. The respect he gets from the fans for hitting .222 is great. He gets a Standing O from the fans that are there. Half the stadium is full. First pitch, a ball. Second pitch, a strike, and he puts a beautiful swing and bam.. First homer of the season. This was awesome and I wasn't even there. I jumped and shouted. I love Barry, grew up loving Barry. It is great to see him hit the game winner with the crowd standing up for him, first time at bat after his injury, not having a homer all season, only hitting .222 and the crowd still loving him. It is even better that it happened to the Cards two nights in a row. Oh yeah, i know I haven't updated my sig.

I love Barry Larkin too
It's always nice to see a guy stay on one team I loved the Phillies back when Schmidt and Carlton played...and although Steve had those two last HORRIBLE years with someone else...99% of the time he was a Phil

Larkin is good and all, but he can thank Kiki Calero for the hanging curve that rockze25 could have hit a country mile for his first homer of the 2003 season.

yeah... The majority of the homeruns are off curves that don't curve or fastballs that didn't go where they wanted and went over the plate...
