Removing reserve clause and adding free agency early results in HUGE salaries
In OOTP17 I would often start a new league in 1969 as the Royals and remove the reserve clause and just start with early free agency. But when I do that with OOTP18 it causes the automatic renewal salaries after the first season to start at $535k. I can't figure out a way to fix this in the financial options.

535 is the current league minimum salary. I would suggest double checking the league's financial options in the league setup page to make sure they are set. It's possible that changing options returned your league to some default values for those variables. I believe that currently if you change the league minimum salary in the settings, it should automatically adjust anyone who is exactly at that salary to the new minimum, however anyone who has a salary over that won't be adjusted automatically.

I started a new league with real minor leagues in 1976 to try to avoid the reserve clause issue, only to discover it isn't a reserve clause issue. This 535k minimum thing is showing up with random players all through this league too. 535k can't be the minimum salary in 1977. You can see it with Dave Ford, Mike Smithson, Luis Aponte, Orlando Alvarez, Wayne Nordhagen, Dan Norman, Ray Knight, Manny Sarmiento, Tony Franklin, Craig Adams, Tim M Corcoran, Craig Landis, Tack Wilson, John Hale, Dan Rohn, Jean-Pierre Leduc, John M Doherty, Mike Tyson, John Young, Lew Beasley. I can't figure out what makes these players different from everyone else. I also fixed a number of players on my team but I don't have a save file from before that. |

Ah, I see, we were incorrectly checking against the league min salary as specified in the minor league, even though finances were off. This will be fixed in the next patch.

Thanks for posting this Matt as a bug. I just discovered this in my 1956 league. I happened to notice it after the 1962 season. Not sure if it happen before that? And it appears many of the players are actually in the minors. I changed my seven players on Houston, and also did it for the Mets(two expansion teams), but there are too many to change to get everyone.

Care to take a guess as to what the minimum MLB salary is for 2017? Yep, $535k. Somehow that has extended to all years and it shouldn't be happening.

Is this happening just with the minor leagues, or with guys earning the minimum salary at the big league level? I ask because in my random debut historicals I use unlimited reserve rosters, and I'm trying to figure out if it will affect my games.
