Do veterans still matter?

Curious if anyone has noticed whether veteran leadership still matters in the updated morale system?

In prior versions, there was something about being over 32 yo and particularly if you had leadership skills.

Does it still matter, or is a captain a captain, whether you're 26 or 39 years old?

A captain is still a captain as long as they have the right personality for it. A captain doesn't even have to be a great player or even a starter to have a positive impact on team chemistry. He just needs to be on the active roster.

A captain is a captain, but a 39 year old is more likely to be one. Leadership rises with age (not a lot, but some).
