I was using challenge mode in OOTP 2018...

So I started up a standard league, checked the standings and decided I'd see how I could do as the St. Louis Cardinals.

I picked my manager name, and nationality, looked over what my challenges were, including having a winning record and noticed I'd be one of six teams starting the season on April second.

So I looked over things, including a extension demand by one of my players, and moved on to April first.

This came and went quickly, I did look over my injured players.

Played my first game on the second. a 5-2 loss.

Evaluated things on the third.

My second game also at home against the Cubs was on the fourth.

In the second inning my starting pitcher got hurt.

I inserted a new pitcher into the 9th spot, but it still mentioned that I was down a player.

I clicked the position for my new pitcher, and the game crashed.

Now, the only file that was saved was from the very beginning. Jim Smith, unemployed.
So nothing got saved.

But this is Challenge Mode. Couldn't you guys make it so that the game saves whenever you click on finish today, the game file is saved?

You can change this setting yourself.

Go to 'game' then 'game settings' . On the top right is an autosave option where you can select how often you want the game to autosave.

New to the game, still learning this stuff.

What about the game crashing?
They talk about submitting a bug report, but I don't have a league file to submit.

Yeah, in that case just basically post in the bug report thread and let us know as much as possible about what you were doing when and just before the game crashed and your system and its specs.

Lukas, I noticed something that might affect Pitcher Crashes.

I was playing the Yankees in New York, so the DH rules were in affect.

Anyway, my starting Pitcher was hurt, which meant he needed to be replaced.

The odd thing was, it was the top of an inning, so I couldn't replace the pitcher in the lineup, as I had a DH in the lineup.

The thing is, until this moment, I didn't know where to look for replacing the pitcher,

so the crashing might be related to the pitcher being replaced in the lineup, but not as the pitcher.

Not sure if this is the problem, the forums have changed a bit, but I hope this gets to the right/correct people.

Burnsey if it makes you feel better, I just lost a season to a crash playing a game out as the Birdnals in 1951 (I think it was 51--they blend together in that era for me) in game 6 of the World Series against the Yankees. It went back to when the team was 17-7 which I guess was the last save,

Bummer.
