Noob Question

I have long been looking for a sports game that is playable online, other then the boring fantasy games that I partake in. This seems to be, all info considered, a very good option. I was wondering, in online league play, the following:

1. Do you initially do a online live fantasy draft for you team?

2. How much time, per day, per week must you play on the average?

I am seriously considering purchasing this ATM. Just considering a few possibilities first.

Thank you,

Lekta

Lekta,

My thoughts:

1> Depends on the league you join. Most start as is, but some do engage in initial drafts.

2> That also depends. I say on average about 15-30 minutes a day in sufficient.

There are leagues of fictional players, current real players, and historical players... some start with drafts, others don't. Most drafts are not live, but by email or message board and take over a week to finish. The easiest (and best IMO) way to get into a league is to join one that is already going. There are tons of leagues out there, all of them different.

The time that is absolutely necessary to spend every week is downloading the league file after every sim (2-3 week), changing your lineups, and responding to trade offers. All of this takes about 1/2 hour total per week, slightly more in the offseason. Of course, the fun is in going over the stats, looking for trades, etc., so you can really spend as much more time than that as you want. I'm a pretty active and involved GM in three leagues, and I spend probably a little under an hour per day on my leagues all told.

If the idea of running a baseball team appeals to you, and you like playing interactive on-line games, I can't imagine you wouldn't like playing in an on-line OOTP league.

A good option??? It's a life altering option....buy it.....and you'll find out just how boring "fantasy" truly is....

Buy it and watch this game become your life's obsession!! That's how good this game is.....

A good option??? Like a buddy of mine says....yeah....slightly.
