Historical Free Agent Question
Starting my historical game in 1956, and don't plan on having a draft until 1965. So I unchecked the draft selection, and have all rookies coming in as free agents until 1965.
My question is, with this setup, when do I see the rookies enter the game as free agents? Is it after the season, January 1st of the new year, etc? I would just like to track and see who gets signed by what team. Thanks! |

if you have historical rookies enter as free agents checked on your historical page, yes. they enter as free agents. if you do not have that checked - the players will enter the league on the team they were actually on when they joined professional baseball (which may be different than the team they debuted on in the Major Leagues.) The players in this last case enter the game a few days after post-season games end. At least that was when they entered in 17. haven't tested when they actually enter in 18 yet.
