Individual player scouting vs mass updates

What is the difference between sending my scout to acquire a report on a player individually through an option on their player card vs going off of the report that automatically occurs in-season for all players. Will it be anymore accurate? Or is there really no purpose in doing this?

If their is no purpose, then is it ever worth individually scouting players for the amateur draft?

Also, is their an additional scouting expense associated with scouting players individually?

Thanks for the help and input!

If nothing has changed: Mass scouting updates only happen either once a month during the season, once every 2 months during the season or twice yearly- beginning and end of season (Depends on the setting used, bi-monthly is default) You can request a scouting report on a player at any time although your scout can only produce one per day.

As far as I know there is no extra cost for your scouts efforts (it is his Job ya know) and on the scout reports page it will update the date of your scouts most recent scouting of the player requested

Thanks for the clarification - but the individual scouting report produced will be no more accurate than the reports produced by your scout for league-wide updates? So unless you are looking for an immediate update, there is no purpose of these reports?

I doubt anything will change if scouting a player whom is yet to be drafted, but players ratings change much more frequently than you get scouting reports, so this feature could be useful. The question is, of all the players in your league, did you actually pick one to scout who has had something change. It's kind of like playing the lottery

If your meaning the difference between the OTTP Scouting & your scout, your scout is much more accurate(if his ratings reflect that). Based on something I read at one point, I believe they said OTTP Scouting only occurs once a year and there underpaid or something so it's not as good lol.
