DL Stint Length
My understanding of the 10-day DL is that if there was a game every single day, you would miss 10 games while on the DL. In the following cases (the Aaron Sanchez case is most clear), players appear to only be unavailable for 9 days.
KEVIN PILLAR April 3rd - Played, injured, removed from game April 4th - Off day April 5th - Placed on DL: 8 days left. April 6th - 7 Days left. April 7th - 6 Days left. April 8th - 5 Days left. April 9th - 4 Days left. April 10th - 3 Days left. April 11th - 2 Days left. April 12th - 1 Days left. April 13th - 0 Days left. AARON SANCHEZ April 18th - Started, injured, removed from game, placed on DL: 10 days left April 19th - 9 Days left. April 20th - 8 Days left. April 21st - 7 Days left. April 22nd - 6 Days left. April 23rd - 5 Days left. April 24th - 4 Days left. April 25th - 3 Days left. April 26th - 2 Days left. April 27th - 1 Days left. April 28th - 0 Days left. MELVIN UPTON JR April 18th - Started, injured, removed from game. April 19th - Sat out. April 20th - Placed on DL (before game): 8 days left. April 21st - 7 Days left. April 22nd - 6 Days left. April 23rd - 5 Days left. April 24th - 4 Days left. April 25th - 3 Days left. April 26th - 2 Days left. April 27th - 1 Days left. April 28th - 0 Days left. |

If you place an injured player in the DL the day after the injury, the 10 days is retroactive to the actual injury day. IE player x injured April 8th, place on DL the 9th, he should have only 9 days left.
